Is a manual retractable awning an acceptable rain cover over a Sukkah which can be opened and shut on Yomtov itself? My question is opening and closing the awning would be entirely manual, not digital or electronic.

You may open and close it as long as before yom tov started it was already a few inches open.
(This is a sugyah in shabbos of ohel.)
