Hi Rabbi,
I would like to know why beer is Kosher beer goes through a process of boiling for 60 minutes why isn’t it considered bishul akim?
(ed. food cooked by a non-jew is prohibited to be eaten unless it meets certain clauses)
Hi, Thank you for your question.
The beer is considered water, as the amount of barley is considered insignificant compared to the water. See the first Taz in Yoreh Deah siman 114.
All the Best
Rabbi Shay Tahan
