Quick question: I understand it is forbidden to own a dangerous animal as a pet or to go inside a cage with a dangerous animal. Is it permitted to play with a bear/tiger/wolf cub and other similar animals if they are a cub?
The gemara writes that a Jew may not own a bad dog, which many authorities explain to mean a dog which is dangerous. It is not advisable to put oneself in a situation that can be dangerous.
