Kavod harav,i hav a landlord thts willing to pay for half of my washing machine but i meant a dryer do i hav to notify him abt it?

Q- Im a tenant and he is willing to split the cost of an appliance with me i disscused a washing machine but it turns out i need a dryer can i just buy wht i need and thn hav him split with me or do i need to notify him first as to wht exactly im gonna buy?
A – If you think he is giving you half in order to make you happy its probably fine but if the reason of giving might be otherwise you need to ask him
