Ch. 2, Halacha 26 – Beginning Tehillim Before the Amud on the Fast of Gedaliah

On the Fast of Gedaliah, we begin saying Tehillim before the amud (prayer lectern), and it is said on all the days between Rosh Hashanah and Erev Yom Kippur, except for Shabbat, which are five days, each day one book or three chapters (mizmorim). One who did not say it on one day should make it up on his own on the following day, in order to finish all of Tehillim before Erev Yom Kippur.
